Budi Santoso
Founder & Managing Director
Credentials: MBA, INSEAD; Certified Hospitality Administrator (CHA); 20+ years in luxury hospitality with Aman Resorts and Four Seasons Asia-Pacific.
Bio: Budi is the visionary force behind Togean Archipelago Voyages and a key partner at our parent company, Juara Holding Group. After a distinguished career managing some of the world’s most iconic luxury properties, Budi returned to his native Indonesia with a mission to redefine adventure tourism. He saw the Togeans as the final frontier of Indonesian luxury travel and dedicated himself to building a service that could deliver an Aman-level experience in one of the planet’s most remote locations. Budi personally oversees all client relations and strategic partnerships, ensuring the company’s founding vision of seamless, sustainable luxury is upheld in every detail.
Dewi Lestari
Head of Operations & Marine Logistics
Credentials: M.Sc. in Marine Biology, Bogor Agricultural University; PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer; Certified STCW-95 (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers).
Bio: Born and raised in Central Sulawesi, Dewi possesses an unparalleled, innate understanding of the Togean Archipelago. Her academic background in marine biology is complemented by over 15 years of practical experience managing dive operations and marine logistics in remote Indonesian waters. Dewi is the heart of our on-the-ground operations. She personally vets every vessel, captain, and dive guide in our network, ensuring they meet our stringent Safety & Compliance standards. Her deep relationships with local communities and the National Park authorities are invaluable, allowing us to offer authentic cultural interactions and access to restricted conservation zones.
Adrian Chen
Director of Guest Experience
Credentials: Member, Les Clefs d’Or (by affiliation); Certificate in Luxury Brand Management, ESSEC Business School; 15 years with The Ritz-Carlton and Mandarin Oriental in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Bio: Adrian is the architect of our clients’ personalized journeys. With a career built on anticipating the needs of the world’s most demanding travelers, he brings an international perspective on service excellence to the wild heart of Indonesia. Adrian works directly with clients to understand their passions, preferences, and expectations, translating them into a flawless itinerary. From sourcing a specific vintage of champagne for a sunset cruise to arranging a private consultation with a marine conservationist, Adrian’s meticulous attention to detail and global network ensure that every moment of a Togean Indonesia voyage is perfectly tailored and effortlessly delivered.
Dr. Rina Wulandari
Chief Sustainability Officer
Credentials: Ph.D. in Coral Reef Ecology, University of Queensland; Former consultant for WWF Indonesia and The Nature Conservancy’s Coral Triangle Program.
Bio: Dr. Rina guides our conscience and our conservation efforts. She is responsible for developing, implementing, and auditing all of our sustainability initiatives, from our carbon-offsetting programs to our community development funds. She works closely with our Head of Operations to ensure all our activities have a minimal environmental footprint and a positive social impact. Dr. Rina leads our partnership with the Balai Taman Nasional Kepulauan Togean and other conservation NGOs, and she often provides exclusive lectures for our guests on the unique ecology of the region. Her work ensures that our presence contributes directly to the preservation of the paradise we have the privilege to explore.
Captain Yusuf Ibrahim (Ret.)
Aviation & Transfer Logistics Consultant
Credentials: 25,000+ flight hours; Former Senior Captain, Garuda Indonesia (Boeing 777 Fleet); Certified Flight Operations Officer.
Bio: The journey to the Togeans is a critical part of the experience, and Captain Yusuf ensures it is safe, efficient, and comfortable. After a long and distinguished career with Indonesia’s national airline, he now applies his deep knowledge of Indonesian aviation to our operations. He manages all private charter arrangements, liaises with airport authorities like Angkasa Pura I and air traffic control (AirNav Indonesia), and coordinates seamless ground-to-air-to-sea transfers. His expertise in navigating the complexities of domestic Indonesian travel is a cornerstone of our promise to provide a truly hassle-free experience from the moment you land in the country.
