Uncompromising Safety & Full Regulatory Compliance
In the world of luxury adventure travel, true peace of mind comes from knowing that every detail has been meticulously planned and that your safety is the absolute highest priority. At Togean Archipelago Voyages, we operate with a culture of zero compromise on safety and full adherence to Indonesian and international regulations. Our clients, who include some of the world’s most discerning individuals and families, trust us to manage risk and ensure their well-being in a remote environment. This trust is earned through transparent, verifiable, and rigorous compliance across every facet of our operation. Our commitment is overseen by a team of seasoned experts, including a retired Garuda Indonesia captain and a certified marine logistics chief, featured on our Our Team page.
Corporate & Legal Compliance
We are a legitimate, fully accountable Indonesian entity, operating with the highest standards of corporate governance under our parent company, Juara Holding Group.
- Legal Entity: We are registered as a Perseroan Terbatas (PT), the Indonesian equivalent of a limited liability company, ensuring full legal and financial accountability.
- Tourism Business License (TDUP): We hold a valid Tanda Daftar Usaha Pariwisata (TDUP), formerly SIUP Pariwisata, issued by the Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy). This is the primary license required to legally operate as a tour and travel provider in Indonesia. Our license number is available for verification upon request.
- Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP): We are a registered taxpayer in Indonesia and are fully compliant with all national and regional tax obligations, contributing to the national economy.
- Employee Social Security & Health Insurance: All our Indonesian employees are registered under the mandatory BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (social security, including work accident and life insurance) and BPJS Kesehatan (national health insurance) programs, ensuring their welfare and legal protection.
Maritime & Aviation Safety Standards
Navigating the waters and airspace of the Indonesian archipelago requires specialized expertise and strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Vessel Vetting: Every Phinisi yacht or speedboat in our network undergoes a rigorous audit. We verify its Surat Persetujuan Berlayar (SPB or Port Clearance) for every voyage, confirm its registration and seaworthiness certificates, and physically inspect its safety equipment, including SOLAS-grade life rafts, Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB), satellite phones, and comprehensive medical kits.
- Crew Certification: We ensure that all boat captains and key crew members hold valid and current certifications, such as ANKAPIN/ATKAPIN (Indonesian Deck/Engine Officer certification) and the internationally recognized STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers).
- Aviation Partnerships: We only work with IATA-certified airlines for commercial flights. For private charters, we partner with operators who have impeccable safety records and adhere strictly to the regulations set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Indonesia.
Operational Safety & Emergency Protocols
Our proactive approach to safety management ensures we are prepared for any contingency.
- 24/7 Operations Center: Our operations team is on standby 24/7 to monitor all ongoing trips. Every vessel is tracked via GPS, and we maintain constant communication through satellite phones and VHF radio.
- Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP): We have a detailed MERP for the Togean region. Our senior guides are certified in Advanced First Aid and CPR. For serious medical situations, we have established protocols for emergency evacuation by speedboat or helicopter to the nearest capable medical facilities in Gorontalo, Palu, or, if necessary, to international hospitals in Singapore.
- Guest Safety Briefings: All guests receive a comprehensive safety briefing upon arrival, covering vessel safety, dive procedures, and protocols for interacting with wildlife.
- Insurance: While we require all guests to have comprehensive travel and medical evacuation insurance, our company is also covered by extensive public liability insurance for all our operations.
Our commitment to safety is not just a document; it is the core of our culture. It is the foundation that allows us to offer extraordinary Togean Indonesia adventures with complete confidence and security.
